Physical Machine.
HP Proliant G5 Quad Core Xeon E5420 CPU 10GB RAM
Uninstall May Tech Preview per instructions.
Uninstallation
To uninstall the VMware Workstation Technology Preview:
1. Uninstall VMware Tools from each virtual machine used with the Technology Preview
2. Ensure all virtual machines are downgraded to be compatible with an earlier version of VMware Workstation (VM > Manage > Change Hardware Compatibility...)
3. Exit the VMware Workstation Technology Preview
4. Remove VMware Workstation Technology Preview via standard application uninstallation procedures
Then reinstall July TP. Open Windows Server 2012 R2 VM. Upgrade hardware back to WS 10. Reinstall VMware Tools.
Use VMwareToolBoxcmd.exe timesync enable. VMwareToolboxcmd.exe disk shrink c:\.
All these operations finished without problems.
Since my physical hardware is quite limited (no sound care, max resolution 1280x1024, single monitor, 10GB RAM) I can't test many features.
Somewhat disappointed that it looks like VMware Tools may ship without a GUI (although shrink process was).
This could be a negative for some users I think.
I will test July TP in Linux - probably tomorrow.
