Sorry for the late follow up.
I wasn't aware that the help was in html form. But it makes sense.
Not sure why it doesn't work in Workstation, but it must be something in the browser integration at the operating system level. It is not a big deal for me, but when I get the time I'll try to have a look at the why.
The html files are there, exactly where you say.
FWIW, in this scenario I think it is the OS to blame and not VMware Workstation.
