There are some considerations you have to be aware.
How many different Base Images are you delivering?

In general you should have on BR for each different Base Layer.
For bigger branches you shall consider to have more the one BR in branches for redundancy.
Keen also in mind the disk space for the Base Layers BL + 10 to 15% on the BR disk.
The recommended setup would be max 30 to 50 simultaneous active connections by serving few hundred devices.
Depending on max available bandwidth I would also consider to use the "BR only configuration". Means the Client only downloads Base Layer form BR and never from the Server direct.
Even if the BR would be unavailable for a time.
