hi all,
i am little confused about vm network traffic inside the same esxi host,
we have 3 ESXi5 and each of the ESXi5 has 1 vswitch and 5 vm port groups for vm networks on that vswitch, each vm network has vlan on it...so if 2 vm's are on a different vlan but on the same ESXi will network traffic will pass throught uplinks or not? i believe traffic will pass to uplinks, am i right on this?
i know for sure for network traffic for same subnet/vlan between vm's on the same host will not use uplinks
